Oh yer thanks for reminding me there is a live stream so guys at work could be watching my afternoon talk liveI think it's great there is finally a MUM in the UK and I hate that we are going to miss it but our project schedule is just crazy right now. Will have to watch it on the live stream and then see you guys at MUM Europe in 2017.
Hate that i'm missing the steakhouse too
Using RoMON and CHR with GNS3I'll check it out too! What are you presenting on?
Also, it might change on the day itself again as well! Always very important that all speakers keep an eye on the board immediately outside the conference room at a MUM which will list who is on when or keep in regular touch with MikroTik staff throughout the day. Talks can sometimes go on longer than expected and require start times for talks to be pushed back a quarter hour or so. Or they could be much shorter and require speakers to get ready earlier! Therefore it's important to bear in mind that the exact presentation start times on the day itself can be "fluid". Why do you think I'm on first?!I was on the agenda for 3pm now I'm 11:15am
Good point.. will have to hold off on the beer till afterwardsSo Ron and any other trainers could be busy at that time.
Good Afternoon Guys,Please take into account the upcoming IPv6 examination for trainers on Sunday afternoon or evening, an excellent opportunity any trainers should take. So Ron and any other trainers could be busy at that time. More info will be emailed to trainers shortly.
When you guys have a training booked in the diary for this please ping me a email as I will be straight on it.Well spotted Chris
Chris - We use IPv6 every day. Have done for years. It's actually quite easy once you get passed the initial scary "much bigger numbers than IPv4" stage However using IPv6 all the time does not guarantee you know what exactly MT will test us on!
We've seen the syllabus, we have training slides. Therefore we have "an idea" on what we will be tested on. But first we have to pass the exam with a higher mark than you students have to, so... let's see what happens. Plus, I'm not going to create my own training material and "sell" any training courses until I've passed and again, unlike you guys we only get the one chance to pass this. (So, no pressure there then! ) Also, creating accurate and high quality training material, designing and testing the practical labs takes a long while so I would expect it to be spring/summer next year before we have anything to offer the general public. (If I pass!)
No heckling from the back this time!Bazzer and Shane.. It feels like a Slovenian reunion haha
Also make sure you have your Windows laptops updated with the latest fixes before you start your talkTalks can sometimes go on longer than expected and require start times for talks to be pushed back a quarter hour or so. Or they could be much shorter and require speakers to get ready earlier! Therefore it's important to bear in mind that the exact presentation start times on the day itself can be "fluid".
Looks like it'll be the same in London. Over 350 registered already and probably of those, 250 will turn up. It's going to be full! But we had way more participants than space in the room.
It was a successful first MUM in the Netherlands.
I don't know the numbers and if/how they anticipate on people not turning up, but there were at least 15 more participantsLooks like it'll be the same in London. Over 350 registered already and probably of those, 250 will turn up. It's going to be full!
Nearly forgot.. Big thank you to Ron / aka Nest for organising the steak out on Sunday. Best steak I've had in ages. Well worth the walk
