I have a similar issue - no LTE interface in interface list for E3372 on RB2011.

Modem works on laptop.
Plugged in to microUSB port using mikrotik supplied microUSB to USB cabled.
When rebooting RB2011 modem light is solid blue indicating connection and prints in resource/usb.

RB2011UiAS-2HnD ROS v6.36, then upgraded to 6.37.1

Device name: E3372
Hardware version: CL2E3372HM
Software version: 22.200.05.00.00

/system resource usb> print
0 1:1 Linux 3.3.5 ehci_hcd RB400 EHCI 480 Mbps
1 1:2 HUAWEI_MOBILE HUAWEI_MOBILE 480 Mbps

Vendor ID=0x12d1
Device ID=0x1f01

Also observed sometimes after a while modem LED starts flashing. When doing USB Power Reset it is not picked up in resource/usb anymore and router reboot is needed.

Is there a better USB Modem that plays nicely with RB's?

At least I'm getting the LTE interface to come up now.

did the following:
1. /system routerboard usb> set usb-mode=force-host
2. power cycle
