ether ports - pass no traffic

Wed Nov 16, 2016 5:16 pm

I have an RB433 running 6.35.4. Ether1 is the WAN connection and Ether2 & Ether3 are connected to two different switches, not manageable switches. Every so often any user connected to the switches that are using ether2 and ether3 on the RB433 cannot gain internet access. When this happens I can remotely login to the RB433 via Winbox and I can see that no traffic is traversing these ports at all. I can ping out to any web address so, internet connection is working fine. I also perform a packet sniff on these ports and again no traffic. I then disable and enable the two ports and traffic begins to traverse immediately thru the RB433. The time of day this is happening does not allow me to go to the premise and perform a wireshark tap. At this point I am going to replace the 10+ year old switches. Any ideas what could be causing this? Thanks for any help or suggestions.
