Are you feeding it enough?
Check the current requirements.

i was locking out, i found = "problem in power USB in mikrotik not enough"
I'm wondering MikroTik is giving 5v output same as laptop. How can i do FTP with external HDD? If im plug in SSD will be same?

Thanks

An SSD will generally use less power, but it may not be enough. You could also use an external drive with it's own power supply if it's an option.

I have a very old Samsung S2 500gb USB2 drive, it works without problem in RB951G-2HnD and RB3011 as well.
You need to format it to fat32 though, and then share it in ip/smb, you need to add smb user and smb share (/disk1).

Won't be too fast though, on the MIPS model i got maybe 3-4mb/s, with the ARM it was 30mb/s.

Maybe that's is the problem, my hdd has exFAT and NTFS, Doesn't have FAT32 (default). im guessing NTFS needs more feeding.
