RB2011 series - PoE output function for port #10

Fri Nov 08, 2013 6:53 pm

IN specifications to RB2011 series(RB2011LS-IN\RB2011L-IN\RB2011LS-RM) say:
There is PoE output function for port #10 - it can power other PoE capable devices with the same voltage as applied to the unit. Maximum load on the port is 500mA.
but i can find PoE-options in menu (((
if connect port #10 of 2011 to 1st port 951-2N (951-2N don't get power)

So how make PoE work on port #10 of RB2011 series ?

Is PoE output @ port 10 (still) available on RB2011UAS-RM? I'm running 6.13 and can't make it work. I can't even run terminal commands for PoE status or setup.

please look for small letter 'i' so, RB2011-UiAS etc.

Initial RB2011 has no 'i' moniker

Thank you for your answer. I have initial UAS device without "i" and no yellow lines around Ethernet port 10 so I guess this unit has no PoE capabilities.

My mikrotik router has an "i" AND yellow lines w/ power plug icon on port #10... but I'm having problems with POE still...

[admin@MikroTik] > /interface ethernet poe set ether10 poe-out=forced-on
[admin@MikroTik] > /interface ethernet poe monitor [find]
;;; Conference Room Phone!
name: ether10-slave-local
poe-out-status: powered-on

[admin@MikroTik] >

Nothing happens to our VoIP device. (polycom starfish soundstation ip 7000)

It works fine when plugged into a regular ole Enginius poe switch.

Any ideas? Thanks! :D

thanks, i was going to search for that. :) you are right.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 28031703:s

i wonder why my poe switch (engenius brand) works then...it must support up to 48V.

and i guess mtik doesn't. :\

thanks!!
