i did it since i notice no winbox on tools, but the question is.. what reasons MikroTik remove the winbox from tools ?the end of the starting post should help -> winbox can be added manually via tools. Is anyone else having issues with the tools > Winbox tool not showing up on the client for the Dude? Since in our office we connect to Dude from different locations, could it be possible to add use the winbox.exe stored in a remote path?Since default Winbox is removed, you can add path to your Winbox.exe file with simple step:
Open Tools => [+] sign => in "Command" add your Winbox path, for Windows users use:
%HOMEPATH%\Desktop\winbox.exe [Device.FirstAddress] [Device.UserName] "[Device.Password]"

Some server crash is fixed on 6.38, but just to be sure that it's the same problem, please send us supout fileOn a system x86 based, I have some problem of memory leak using dude v6.38....every minute dude eat lot of ram until router crash...someone has this issue??
Just sent now to supportSome server crash is fixed on 6.38, but just to be sure that it's the same problem, please send us supout file
No one else having this problems?Having problems with connectivity to the Mikroti AP.
One Mikrotik is doing DHCP, routing,... the other is AP.
When upgraded both of them, I cannot connect to the AP (which is connected via cable in the main Mikrotik router). I can't event ping the AP.
If I set STP to none on main router (now is rstp), I can ping and connect to the AP. On both of machines there are few VLAN intefraces. Why is this happening after the upgrade?
The problem is known, at the moment can't promise you any dates. When will you add support for custom fonts (cyrillic)?
Yep, it`s really necessary! When will you add support for custom fonts (cyrillic)?
Its interesting, maybe this is my problem too, how fast may be a microSD card to avoid this?sparrow - The crash was caused by slow storage drive. All data that were not stored, was making queue until eat all RAM, which lead to kernel panic.
Make sure you have fast storage drive (USB/SD card), if the storage drive will be too slow, data will not be saved in time, and will slowly make queues in the RAM.what about memory eating od HEX ROS v 6.38.1 and older too - after 1day uptime is memory 27MiB free and drain continue until HEX reboot (because of watchdog timer)
Please write to support@mikrotik.com, include description and supout fileNetwork = Mikrotik router 6.38.1 tage vlan125 -> taged valn125 TPLINK managed switch taged vlan125-> taged vlan125 Mikrotik router WIFI 6.38.1

With brodge rstp or stp cant get DHCP or connectivity. without protocol mode all are OK.
IT is OK? because TPLINK dose not support something?
Originally I saw the problem on a Win7 laptop. I just tried it on an Android tablet and got the same result. So I tried rebooting the router, but the problem is still there.nje431 - some quick tests didn't show any problems using Webfig Dude>Server Config (6.38.1) from Chrome/Firefox. Can you repeat this from different PC ?
Thanks.
Found the issue. I logged in using Winbox, then went into Dude>Server Config. Under the "Discover" tab (I never use discover), I found that "Ignore Services" was red. It was filled with a lot of services, including multiple copies of one I didn't recognize, which could have been an old experiment (rnd 50:50). If I cleared out all but about a dozen or so services (didn't seem to matter which ones), the color turned blue. Then Webfig would not freeze.Originally I saw the problem on a Win7 laptop. Reinstalling routerOS helped me.Hi, someone had this issue with dude:
routerOS status: connection timeout, next attempt.... (only on 3 of my device)
When I create a new winbox Tool as described above, no matter what I put in the "Command" box, after I hit "OK" the result is a new command with the correct name, but an empty body, and type set to "unknown". What am I doing wrong? You can put Winbox back yourself, in the Tools section. This was always possible.
as mentioned, the problem only happen on ROS v5 and v4 with high latency (>500ms). no problem with low latency devices.Changes in v6.38.1:
prawira - I haven't seen problems with RouterOS v5 devices. Check in Devices => RouterOS => Device, to see if your Dude server is connected to this device.
- - - - - - - - - - - -Hello,
I've always used The Dude4.0beta3 quick access and read-only with hidden password by clicking on the device, tools / Winbox, it works perfectly ..
In Dude version 6.38.1 (with RouterBOARD 750G r3 hEX) this was removed, but I created the tool normally this way:
"%homedrive%%homepath%\desktop\winbox.exe" [Device.FirstAddress] [Device.UserName] [Device.Password]
Also works !, but if winbox.exe is not in the path indicated (this may occur) an error appears in the Dude client and shows the secret password registered!
Note: if I create the same tool in Dude4.0beta3 and inform an incorrect path to winbox.exe it will not work but also does not show the error message with the secret_password, that's good.
Please, could check and correct this, not to report the error with the visible password if the winbox.exe path is inconsistent ..
(Post # 25 also mentions this)
Thank you very much
Funny thing, I had this same problem with a cAP2N. After upgrade cannot access it from the wired side, It showed connected Ethernet, and it even passed traffic for two other Virtual AP's onto VLANs. But I could not access it from the wired side on any method. No one else having this problems?Having problems with connectivity to the Mikroti AP.

is possible to enter username and password also ? did you find any solution ?Hello,
Mikrotik_RouterOS_Device
Http://192.168.141.2/cfg?user=user&pass ... &backpage=
I removed this standard tool!
Name: Web
Command: "[DeviceType.Url]"
... and created a new tool
Name: Web Browser
Command: "http: // [Device.FirstAddress]"
So if there is an error does not show the password! ,,, But for the winbox.exe tool I'm waiting for help, thanks.
I support the request as well with multifile syslog storing on rb750gr3 with after reboot keeping logs facility.. please help!!!!We really need custom fonts, when is it possible to provide support for us?
And how to recreate snmp profile 'no-snmp' after deleting? If create profile has version 'none', community field is not empty - it is filled 'public'. Hosts continue to be polled by snmp.
I'm afraid so. The current version of Dude server runs only on CHR, ROS x86 and selected routerboards. Windows server was removed. See here: viewtopic.php?t=102772I'm running DUDE Version 3.6 on a singe Windows 7 machine for years to monitor a Windows environment. I see no software package for the newer releases of The Dude to run 'stand alone' on a typical Windows machine.
Did I miss something???
You can install Virtualbox on your windows 7 machine and run ROS CHR with Dude. Dude in CHR is very good.Where would I download the last version of The Dude that would run 'standalone' on windows CPU?
