after some frustration due to Cisco to Mikrotik VPN's I decided to replace my existing router indoors with a RouterBOARD mAP 2nD so I can learn more about them, whilst I was configuring the device I was having the similar issues I was experiencing with the VPN, eg I could not ping the outside world using the Ping tool attached to the LAN interface on the Mikrotik RouterBOARD mAP 2nD but if I was to use the PPOE interface it was fine or go into terminal and ping 8.8.8.8 it works fine. when I plug a laptop in to the lan interface its fine I can go onto google and ping where ever I want.

this box is only setup for masquerading there are No firewall rules yet.

So i decided to test it on the remote site's where I was having issues and it was the same I cant ping the outside world from the LAN interface using the tool but I can ping down one of the VPN tunnels without a problem

I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this issue and what was it you did to fix it.
