mistry is right. high output power is not something to be proud of. better have good antenna and high sensitivity card. installing an amplifier will just amplify noise. also, your home devices will be able to "see" your AP, but will not be able to talk back to it.
high power is not something that is needed in a home AP!
HAP ac (RB962UiGS-5HacT2HnT) - in this implementation, no one will buy,
only spoil your reputation ... : (
It should be
added to RB962UiGS-5HacT2HTN:
1. Three
external omni-directional dual-band antennas of at least
8dBi
2. Increase the transmitter power of
2.4GHz to at least
1000mW (as it was in RB951G-2HnD -
https://routerboard.com/RB951G-2Hnd) (better 1300mW)
3. Increase the power of the transmitter
5GHz at least to
1300mW (better 1600mW) - 5Hz is very bad "punching" the walls...
The antenna does not amplify the signal, but only distributes (focuses) the already generated power. If I want to increase the "penetration" of walls, I will simply have to increase the transmitter power. And of course I'll put an antenna with a large gain factor to distribute the generated power as efficiently as possible.
P.S.
Mikrotik, follow the lives of your customers ... if you want us to buy your products ....
https://routerboard.com/RB951G-2Hnd - a very good product thanks in large part to
1000mW !
Finally, make mini pci-e and
m.2 for client devices
under "windows" (laptops for example)
