Accessing Netmetal 5 (for ptp connectivity) behind CCR!

Wed Apr 12, 2017 10:50 pm

Hello everyone, can anyone help me by giving some suggestions regarding accessing Netmetal 5 (for ptp connectivity) behind CCR! A single Netmetal 5 AP mood, connected to CCR's WAN side and I want to access both Netmetal 5 AP &ST from CCR's LAN side through winbox.
Thanks in advance.

Access ccr using mac and winbox . Check if netmetal is in ip- neighbours terminal then mac-telnet into that router setup ospf in both routers then you will be able to access both from winbox with router static ip

Hi can you share the IP address range that your gona use and another thing you need to setup the ip address for each router. Lets say you have an IP 10.10.99.0/24 that you wil use for the routers.
Now on the CCR you connect your laptop or pc with ether cable and open winbox.
Click on mac-address login.
Go to IP>Addresses
Then add address 10.10.99.1/24
Then go to Netmetal access the router the same way.
Then add IP 10.10.99.2/24
Then go to Routing OSPF.
Instances then add
Set name = ospf1
Router ID= 10.10.99.2
Default route= never
Connected routes=as type 1
Static routes=as type 1
RIP Routes= No
BGP Routes=No
Other OSPF Routes=No
In filter=ospf in
Out filter=ospf out
Go to OSPF>Networks,add new
Then set network=10.10.99.0/24
and leave area on backbone .
Now you go to CCR and do the same there but you only change the router ID to 10.10.99.1 the rest you do the same. Make sure you connect netmetal
On the Port you used for IP address on CCR
