QoS & shaping simultaneously

Sat Apr 15, 2017 7:49 am

Hello!

Dear Mikrotik gurus! Would You please show me the right way? We need to shape & qos our client at the same time. The criterias are:
1) Each client is shaped by tariff
2) Local traffic is not shaped
3) Other traffic must not exceed tariif limit and QoS must be applied:
a) HLS servers got priority 1 (HLS servers are known by IPs, and are common to all clients)
b) DNS / HTTP / SMTP traffic got priority 3
c) Other traffic got priority 8

Is this possible with Mikrotik? We have CCR-1016 with ROS 6.38.5 installed

Regards,
Boris

Sure that is possible.
Of course you will regret to put HLS at priority 1, but I am not defining your project...
(assuming that priority 1 is highest. this is always unclear when not specified)

Dear pe1chl! Would You please point me how to complete my task? May be a short example?

Sorry I am not a MikroTik trainer or consultant.
I have explained before how to do this, I suggest you do your homework.
