CCR - 6.1 - Bridge/ARP problems. Fixed since?

Fri Nov 15, 2013 3:25 pm

Hello,

Currently I am running 6.1 on a CCR (I have avoided upgrading due to the disasters of the last few releases)
I have looked in the changelogs, and I do not see anything referring to the issue I am having.

I am using a CCR with a bridge and ~5 Ethernet ports added to the bridge.
When ANYTHING changes with equipment attached to those ports, something breaks on the bridge. The CCR continues to operate, but completely stops communicating. Even WORSE, it has poisoned ARP tables of other equipment attached to it, requiring a reboot of the other equipment.

A simple example. We have a RocketM5 sector on one port (In the bridge).
When I associate a client radio to the Rocket sector, everything in the bridge dies. Same can happen if I disconnect a client.
This also can happen if I physically unplug/replug something on that bridge.

I do not have these issues anywhere else on our network, hundreds of radios, 30+ routers, bridges, etc all on 5.25 (Some RB-2011UAS-RMs on 6.1).

I do not have a better explanation of the issue as I can't spend time to diagnose this unit when it drops. So this is all I have.

Does this issue sound familiar, and if possible, does anyone know if it has been fixed in the next releases?

More interestingly,

When I pull all the Ethernet plugs that belong to the bridge, and hook them into a simple RB-250GS (on default programming), all problems and instabilities are gone.
