dead hap lite

Hello.

I have some problem with hap lite. It is dead. Not starting. Only power led is on and one lan port always on, also without cable inserted.

Tried to change in shop but warranty has already been expired by 3 months (only 1 year, bought like for a company, not private person). Have been sent to poland to repair but received back without repairing because of warranty.

hap lite worked for 24x7. Used it like wireless pseudobridge for network video recorder.

What can i do?

You can try the netinstall.

I have had same symptoms with one. Standard, not TC version. No access, no signs of life, a few green LEDs.
NetInstall helped.

thanks, but netinstall not helped

what i have tried is more than 100 power off/power on cycles, then it showed second led (ACT) and all lan off without cable. after powering it off and then on again was lan 2 led on. tried again many times also with/without reset button pressed. after 1 hour of trying i got it working.

first i found it in winbox with ip 0.0.0.0 and mac, connected to mac, upgraded, worked for 5 min then problem again...

then again did all steps, but also upgraded firmware to latest one...

working for 2 hours already without errors on 6.39.1 :)

PS: my hap lite also standard version, not TC

router dead again, at morning problem is back...

now tried netinstall, 3 times, lost licenses, router works only for 5-30 min, then again show 2 light and thats all... doing reset or netinstall, again 5 - 30 min and halt :|

doesn't know what to do more :(

PS: maybe someone in Riga is interested to help ? :)

You can mail to support. May happen they tell you to send the device directly to mikrotik and they will send you a replacement. Maybe. You need to ask...

they answered and will not help me... :( how to fix it... it is working for some time and then froze.. maybe it is a problem with some capacitors? how to check them? i`m not a soldering guru :)

how to RMA if warranty is expired? :) i`m in this situation first time with mikrotik, more than 200 devices, first time that kind of problem :|

With that ratio and with the price of bad device I would not spend more time with it. Just throw it away and use another one instead.

problem not to throw it away, i want to understand what is the problem, because it is first device ever for me from mikrotik that is broken :) ok, will do some soldering works and last try to repair it, then throw away :D

PS: i think my hap ac will not broke the same...
