Hi, I have changed the password on my Mikrotik CCR1009. Is there way to recover it? The router has serial interface. I want to recover it without losing configuration. Can I login through serial interface somehow? Thank you.

As unfortunate as it is. There is no way to log in without password. You may get access through the LCD screen but you'd only be able to reset the unit (something you could do anyway).

It would be a huge security risk to be able to bypass the password.

Do you have a backup of your latest config? If yes, use NetInstall and reset the box and load your config from the backup script.

As long as that config has the old password you remember.
