A solution Gigabit

Tue Jan 09, 2007 12:03 pm

Hi;
I put my question here becouse i can't have a registration in the forum of RouterBord (there is a problem with this forum).
I'm looking for a solution for a gigabit port (a fiber optical port) witch can be used on a embaded plate-forme.
Any ideas???
Thx

Cheapest way is to get a 'media converter' to go from fiber to cat5.

Theres no support for FX yet, but hopefully it will come soon. Using media converters is a solution if your provider uses normal sized ethernet frames, but you will propably see performance issues because of the lower MTU on ethernet..
