Devices speed

Mon Jul 24, 2017 10:19 am

Hi,

I see mikrotik wireless products with different specs like G/N/AC
If for G/N is clearly for AC I don't understand.
I see product apparently the same specs but one products specs is 540 Mbs.

How can find the speed for wireless AC for mikrotik products ?

Regards,

Assuming ideal conditions speed depends on modulation scheme, used bandwidth and number of streams.
What particular device are you looking for?

Hi,

I try to understand the difference AC wifi device.

I want to recommend to my clients the device for there needs. Some client ask me what is the maximum speed for wifi. They look to other vendor and they see 1200Mb/s, 900MB/s or 450Mb/s.
With that I don't tell anything just I see one mikrotik products have in specs 540Mb/s

When you sell you need the marketing.

MikroTik isn't really intended for end-users to buy. But all the info you need is there.
Find the device, then the supported protocol, then the number of chains.
AC = 450Mbps per chain.
1 chain = 450Mbps
2 chains = 900Mbps
3 chains = 1350Mbps
