Hi all,
I know the LTE support list in the mikrotik wiki, but we tried the E3372 which has a big flaw - it looses connection when under load and then won't reconnect. As I can't find a solution for that problem: can anyone recommend a LTE USB modem for Europa (Austria) that works without problems? I even could live with slower speeds (4 MBit minimum) and double-NAT as we just need to build an IPSec tunnel over LTE to our firewall.

In another thread it was mentioned that a fix for this problem is in the latest RC.
So when you currently have the E3372 and experience this problem, you could try that.

Can you set port forwarding (virtual server) on the E8372, so you can access MK admin page remotely ?I have huawei e8372 working perfectly.

The problem is that your lte connection may be natted by your operator. You wo'nt get a public adress. Yes you can setup a dmz is this dongle. Only 35$ on AxIEXPRESS

I have used a sim from Wireless logic that gives you a static ip address if that is something you are looking for?

Update ROS to newest RC (now 6.41rc15) and try e3372h with hi-link firmware.

I updated to the latest RC as suggested, but still the modem loses connection when there are heavy downloads on it. It is more stable now, but still the connection resets and the USB modem won't connect anymore until the router is rebooted

I even tried the e8372 model now (because someone wrote it works without problems), with the same result. Sometimes when there is even low load on the connection it fails, rendering the USB stick useless until I restart the whole board. Is there something wrong with my routerboard?

I have this problem too that from time to time E3372 will stop working and won't reconnect again unless I power cycle my mikrotik device. The reason for this is that mikrotik device is unable to supply enough current to the stick hence it will hang. E3372 will require up to 700ma on the USB port however maximum current the mikrotik device can provide is 500ma. The solution is using a powered USB hub. I am using a D-Link 4 port USB Hub (DUB-H4) with a power adapter and it fixed all my problems.
