customer frequency tracking

Thu Aug 31, 2017 11:24 am

Hi all
has anybody in here got or aware of any installations where they track customer frequency by MAC address or such , i believe it is do-able through monitor mode or wireless sniffer then direct the traffic to a server?

thank you in advance

Yes; not a big deal. In case you can use openWRT, at least, as it is much more flexible. In plain words: open in its features.
Did it for two clients already; right now for a third one in South America. As I do coding, incl. firmware, for a living.
However, there are some limitations to the interpretation of the collected data.
You can find me on freelancer DOT com.

You can always script a scan to occur on a schedule or after a reboot and then have it ftp, email, fetch you the results and any other data you need like serial number, MAC addresses etc.
All without having to pay a Freelancer

You can just read this post:
viewtopic.php?f=13&t=125057

Which is for free, too, and much smarter than your contribution.
However, no continous (streaming) solutions.
As you get, what you pay for.

Forum etiquette would be to send the op a PM vs trying to sell your services on a public forum. He is posting his question on forum.mikrotik.com and not on freelancer.com and as such he is looking for ideas from the members of the forum that have something to contribute. And contribute is more about giving vs taking.

1) How to send PM here ?
2) Some people are willing to compensate for " Best Know-How". Or for better functions/higher quality.
3) Quite a few "leechers" on various forums, to get financial advantages from free high-quality advice.
