Automated scripting to more than one router?

Thu Jan 18, 2007 6:42 pm

Has anyone built a windows based script that can log in and run MikroTik scripts on multiple RouterOS units using SSH? I'd like to be able to perform inventories on my routers (around 250), and take a script backup from the routers.

If you have done this, what tools did you use? Do you have a sample script I could look at?

Thanks in advance for any help,
Ken

I couldnt find anything built into .NET 2... so I've bought the elDos SecureBlackbox SSH stuff. Works pretty well once I realized MT is using OpenSSH 2.3.0 with all kinds of bugs in it : ) Had to disable some authentication schemes to get it to work with MT. It also is a little weird on the shell / terminal spawning - that i had to have them fix for me.

I'll post some clickonce apps when i get that far and let you guys test / give feedback.
