More additions to the connect list would be helpful

Tue Jan 23, 2007 7:40 am

I really like the additions made to v3 of RouterOS thus far. However one major drawback I am finding is in the connect list features.

I currently operate many of my APs using 2.4 Ghz - 5mhz channels, however as I could also operate at 10mhz, 20 mhz, turbo, nstreme, etc., it makes it a pain to change all clients connecting to that AP to even just run field tests of different settings.

Could an option be added in the connect list that allows you to specify not only the master interface but also the band, and nstreme settings, and a cycle time (for when none of them are connecting). This way you could specify multiple entries in the connect-list all with different bands and nstreme settings.

Just a suggestion... looking forward to other new features coming in the next betas :)

I think band in connect-list is impractical, as client can connect to AP, that is using the same band, however if you would be able specify another band, client would not connect to another AP, as they have different bands.

you could ask for that feature in dude, just have to check carefully - to wich nodes you assign new settings :)

feature like - apply new setting stamp, so you select to which nodes to apply settings.
