Simple Dude Discovery Question - pls help.

Sat Jun 17, 2017 10:41 pm

HOW do i set a profile/agent/group, so that i can set the ROS username/pass and *THEN* when i run Discovery it will find all ROS RBs and i wont have to manually enter each ROS username/pass

Scenario:
I have a dude server (CHR , on AWS, latest version) -- i have a VPN from there to a Site with 24 Routerboards - Fully accessable to the AWS Dude server (via vpn).

all 24x Routerboard have the same RouterOS username and password, along with the same SNMP RO community set..

24x routerboards are 192.168.112.2 , 112.3 , 112.4 ect...

When i run discovery , it finds the Routerboards , but i then have to go back to each one, and set their ROS username and ROS password.

(since early dude versions, ive never been able to figure this out, thus ill often setup a dude instance, manually add 100 or so RBs w User/pass , then never use or update it again bc i cant figure out how to auto discover RBs properly (ie with their ROS user/pass provided prior to dude discovery function))

- i have fully read the Dude wiki as well (prob 2 or 3 times at this point) , and spent hours trying to figure this out.

Thanks!

Hello!

I also can't find a way to define a "User Name/Password" for Discovery.

Feature request was created for this: Feature request - Credentials profiles for Discovery.

As a workaround we may mass change devices properties:
1. Map --> Select multiple ROS devices --> Right click --> Settings.
2. Fill "User Name/Password" fields --> Ok

Thank you!
