I've an advice: do not use WDS. it doesn't worth it. It reduces the effective bandwidth very much.

Combine 5GHz and 2.4GHz

Mon Dec 20, 2004 9:05 pm

I am currently working to get a widespread hotspot network running. It uses 5GHz as backbone and 2.4GHz for local spreaded hotspots. It will consist of a basestation transmitting on 5GHz where as local spreaded hotspots log in as clients and provide last mile acces to users on 2.4GHz.
I wan´t to avoid the disadvantages of 5GHz. I hope that MT will help me solve the open issues.
