What's new in v3.12:

*) added new menu entry - "Export Without Passwords";
*) make Enter start filtering in Connect window if some of the filters are changed instead of connecting to router;
*) do not keep old passwords if user unselected Keep-Password later;
*) make file copy & paste work between routers again;
*) make Enter key activate Connect if one of connect fields were active even when master password field has not been entered yet;
*) fixed Reconnect in RoMON mode with "Open In New Window" enabled;
*) other fixes.

If you try to upgrade directly from Winbox loader and version is not available, then you might need to wait for a while until cache in path between your device and our servers is refreshed.

Connecting to a router with 3.11 takes about 0.25 seconds. With 3.12 it takes about 0.75 seconds.

Working normally (like 3.11) since update, using Crossover (wine).

У вас же было в бете 3.хх возможность изменять размеры полей в логе, потом убрали. Но обещали вернуть в финале и забыли.
Ну ужели сложно сделать поле даты и времени ( да и другие поля тоже ) чуть чуть побольше что бы влезали секунды если не хотите делать изменяемые поля ????

У меня был глюк с кракозябрами и не с тем шрифтом (тоже не помещалось) пока фонт не сменил. Но это было со старой версией вайна. Под виндой ни одного глюка не было

Look at screenshot please. Problem is: tables columns in Winbox are not resizeable. At high resolutions 1920x1080 and higher with font larger than default 100% strings in tables are cut. Look at log printed in terminal and in window table form. In table column time can't see seconds. It applies to all the table forms in Winbox.

same for me. mouse wheel does not work to scroll up-down saved items.
please fix also winbox to save tab positions of columns of romon window. i have to resize them everytime i connect.

in win10 the behaviour is exactly as freemannn says, plus some strange focus oddness (you TAB and think to jump from a to b and you find yourself on d).

i also have create +40 dump address to test your scroll problem
create a bkp of your address delete it, and create a fresh on to see if the problem gos away

Yep, I see it now after chupaka post what you guys meant. Winbox moves focus to password field after clicking on one of the managed routers

The same Winbox is working fine for Hex. However, there is a problem in make use the 3.12 to login the CRS326. It take very long wait time in "Download plugins..." The actual wait time is not clearly known, but I successfully login once. Normal practice for me is to switch back to 3.11 and then login instantly to avoid the long waiting. Please investigate. Both firmware is the same 6.42rc24 as of now.

P.S. Hex MTU1500; CRS326 9000

NO, I try to open winbox 12 and then make use the tool -> clear cache.
then try to login the CRS326, the "Downloading Plugin" long wait behavior unchanged

Even worse, the Winbox 11 sometimes say "Error: could not create file" and in my retry, also experienced the long waiting now...... then quit

so, I moved the session folder... and still face the long wait only to the crs326, but not Hex. Any more suggestion?

It seems normal, when I change the CRS326 port ->HEX from 9600 to 1500 MTU. The CRS326 Bridge is return to 1500MTU automatically while all other ports are maintained at 9600 MTU.

What kinds of setting required to let the switch accept MTU9600 access via winbox and normal break other traffic into 1500 MTU while it route traffic to Hex (include winbox traffic)?

The desktop that runs winbox is a Windows VM inside a esxi which connect to the internet via a virtual switch with 10G uplink to the CRS326 (w/10G nic) switch


Should I avoid make use the CRS326 switch feature and let it run in HW 's master port? still supported? or any other setting in Bridge that make the setup compatible with winbox?

the problem is when i drag and drop the user-manager on the file.
Uploading to the flash did not work. Uploading to the RAM disk worked. after i configure all my settings on the
userman, i try reboot my RB. all of my setting is gone. back to from the beginning. my usermanager is outside of flash file.
Honestly I have no idea. sorry for my english..

You won't be wrong creating a new post for your issue as it's a different topic than the current one, and you may miss chance to get a correct answer.

However, since primo you're using release candidate, and secondo user manager is in experimental state on MMIPS, you'll better contact support@mikrotik.com with supout file.
I just trying it without any problem.
What do you mean by uploading on RAM ?

Please note that system package should be uploaded on system disk in order to perform the installation. You could also copy your package from your explorer and use paste button in file windows in the winbox. Reboot to perform the installation before config.

Yeah - I wold like to know also. It's not looking good at 1920x1080p Laptop. With "scaling" - the WinBox text is blurry, without scaling - it's too small.
Please make a support for HighDPI displays at WinBox.

Please make the table column sizes in the log especially resizable. On my system its impossible to get the time to show properly. Is there a config file anywhere where that format can be adjusted?

Is it possible to script the RouterOS software to save its logs to a shared folder - say on a CIFS share?

That might take a few k in code but it would add a lot of value.

In the Checksums link on the Downloads page, I notice that there's no MD5 or SHA256 hash listed for winbox.exe. Can this please be added for Winbox 3.12, and future releases moving forward? If it's kept somewhere else, could somebody point out where? Many thanks....

I have to remind you the major security issue that was get notified by some users back in 2015 and even rather..
Winbox is vulnerable when it's used to connect routers by using downloadable dlls/plugins, that is not signed, and no signature validation being present..
This was the direct cause of the Slingshot APT existence (and possibly we will get new reveals in near future!)

My suggestion is to sign every part of Winbox code + plugins and to have client-side certificate Issuer validation, that's all certificates used to sign plugins is only owned by MikroTik!

This is a winbox issue. It doesn't have to do with the amount of cores. Even with 4-5k prefixes in the advertisements tab (which can be handled just fine even with an old RB433AH) you get that message. Winbox is essentially useless when you have many prefixes.

Since there is Netinstall already signed with EV certificate, it would be good to sign Winbox 3.x too
