I was using winbox on linux via WINE, and it was working great until I upgraded my MT routers to 2.8.21.. Now winbox starts to connect then fails/closes before getting to the UI.
Anyone know where the plugins get cached when using winbox via WINE? I think if I remove them and try to reconnect it will work.

you should check your wine configuration to see there it is store all configuration. Look in your home directory .wine/config
