CPU 100% on RB750

Wed Mar 21, 2018 2:43 am

Hi every one.

Looking for any clue on this behaviour, it is a RB750up SN 42C0028C46FB, as you can see from the picture its CPU is at 100% load. The router board is not doing any particular hard thing and the cpu profile says dhcp is using most of it, obviously there is no dhcp active either client or server . When I try to look into the console , the console gets stuck and after 5 minutes says time out , please send a support file, when I try to generate the support file on winbox or console it says, couldn't start busy.

Some Idea to fix it? this router is far away from the office (3 hrs on a unsealed road) therefore any suggestion would be highly appreciated.

Cheers
Dimas

Can you reboot it? I know 3 hours are scary, but...

Hi, yes as you can see from the pic, the uptime is just after a reboot ( 3mns) and still the same behaviour.

Are there any log entries? And can you do an export?

Since you are not using DHCP, you might try removing the package under System>Packages. Most likely this package has been corrupted.
