Strange

Wed Apr 18, 2018 10:01 am

Hello,

Just a small question about something I see appearing in the logs:

IPV6HAXORS input: in:bond1_vlan20 out:(none), proto UDP, [fe80::e68d:8cff:fe01:c9f4]:5678->[ff02::1]:5678, len 148

I see this appear in the logs every minute.
I just disabled everything that does anything with IPv6 (except for disabling the ipv6 package).
Even deactivated its p2p peer IPv6 address.

Anyone know how to stop this from polluting my log? :-)

Thanks a lot!
That did the trick. It was neighbor discovery all along.

It's strange that google can't find anything about IPv6HAXORS.

That is because that is just a word that the local admin has put in the firewall rule that generated this message!
Look under IPv6->firewall->filters and you will find a rule with the log option ticked and this word as a log prefix.
