Blocking public address or range

Thu Mar 08, 2007 9:38 pm

Hello,

I want to drop packets from a specific public IP address and a specific range of addresses, however, I don't think I set it up correctly. I added, in Filter Rules, an Action to Drop on Chain/Input and Src with the address I want to drop packets from. When I view the Packets & Bytes it shows 0b. What is the proper way to do this?

Many thanks in advance.

well, input/output only reffers to packages to wich the destination/source is teh router itself (mt), you probably want to add those rules in the FORWARD chain.
