Two mikrotik devices

Fri Jun 29, 2018 8:56 pm

Hello, have CCR1009 (10.31.0.1 with pool 10.31.0.101-10.31.0.150) and RB962UiGS (10.31.0.100 with pool 10.31.10.1-10.31.10.20)

CCR is main device with PPPoE. RB962 is second device connected from CCR Eth6 to RB962 Eth1 (want wifi).
Devices connected to CCR work fine, internet is ok but devices connected to RB962 have a problem, no internet connection.

On RB962 I created bridge to all ports except ether1.

Created Address list
Flags: X - disabled, I - invalid, D - dynamic
# ADDRESS NETWORK INTERFACE
0 10.31.10.0/24 10.31.10.0 bridge1
1 D 10.31.0.100/24 10.31.0.0 ether1
dhcp client
Flags: X - disabled, I - invalid, D - dynamic
# INTERFACE USE-PEER-DNS ADD-DEFAULT-ROUTE STATUS ADDRESS
0 ether1 yes yes bound 10.31.0.100/24
dhcp server
Flags: D - dynamic, X - disabled, I - invalid
# NAME INTERFACE RELAY ADDRESS-POOL LEASE-TIME ADD-ARP
0 dhcp1 bridge1 dhcp_pool 1d
pool
# NAME RANGES
0 dhcp_pool 10.31.10.1-10.31.10.20
and NAT masquerade to ether1.

Internet still doesn't work. Ping from Mikrotik to 8.8.8.8 works fine but devices connected wirelessly don't work.
What am I doing wrong please?

Also configure DHCP server to add ARP for leases

Wireless devices got:
IP address: 10.31.10.18
Mask: 255.255.255.0
Router (gateway): 10.31.10.0 (it's gateway of RB962, maybe this must be 10.31.0.1?)
DNS are automatic but I see there correct DNS

Added ARP in DHCP server, internet still doesn't work.

I found DHCP client in RB962 got correct gateway, only my wireless devices got 10.31.10.0 as gateway

Router 2
/Ip route 0.0.0.0/0
10.31.0.1 gateway = router1

Try above and see if that sorts it

change the bridge address, it should be 10.31.10.1/24 not 10.31.10.0/24

You saved my life! I'm an idiot :-)

Just last problem. My computer has IP 10.31.0.101. My printer is connected wirelessly to RB962 and has IP 10.31.10.10. My problem is I can't ping printer from computer and from CCR.
I know it's something about routing but I really don't understand it.

Any help please?

Your printer is on a different network to your PC? Printer IP 10.31.10.10. PC IP 10.31.0.101
Why don't you just use the RB692 as a wifi-switch and let the CCR do the routing?

Remove IP address from Bridge and DHCP server with IP pool along with firewall rules.

This was my first idea how to do that.
So in RB962 I removed DHCP server, leases, addresses. I added ether1 to bridge too. Now I see all devices from RB962 in dhcp leases of CCR. I left only DHCP client to bridge1. Hope it will be ok.
Perfect, thank you so much!
