Simple RIP

Tue Jan 04, 2005 3:29 am

hello,

I'm looking to deploy some Mikrotik Routeboards into an EIGRP cisco network.

At the moment I've just setup a simple lab with 2 Mikrotiks connected via a crossover cable.

I've given them the IP addresses.
10.10.10.1/24
and
10.10.20.1/24

I then enabled RIP on those 2 following the RIP documentation on the Mikrotik website.

But they cannot see each other, no routes.
I shouldn't have to set a default route, RIP should pick the routes up yes ?

Any ideas anyone ?

Thanks :)

The interfaces that your 2 MT's 'talk to each other' via the Xover cable must still be able to communicate at layer 3.

ie they both need to be in the same subnet
