What is your hardware configuration? Perhaps the ROS is living on a flash drive and not the hard drive...

You can't earse license on your hard drive or falsh drive...

Beacuse RouterOS when you steup it first time, it recorded hard drive's SD on Routeos....

So....You'll change anyone license SD....

WHY do you want to erase a license? Do you want to buy it again? There is a command called `lose-license` in the license menu.

Which leads me to a question I've been holding back since first seeing the "lose-license" command:
What could be the use for that? Why would I like to REMOVE a license? Normunds? ;)

Best regards,

I have no idea. Maybe you like to drop your demo key and see how the 24h trial works? We had this request a couple of times, so it was made.

 ?
OK ...;)

If some of my (I think more practical ;) ) feature requests would get implemented...
Just to make sure (don't want to try it on a licensed system): When you "lose-license", the software id will be unchanged? So I could just re-import the license key?

Best regards,

yes. another use - you sell routers, and you want to test something. you do, but you used a level6 license - you need to sell it with l4. you do the drop thing, and put in the real license. before this command, it was nearly impossible to get rid of the key, it required funky reinstalls.

Well, in your example I would have purchased the level 6 license and immediately killed it again. When delivering this very system with L4, i cannot make use of the previous L6 anymore, because it's bound to the software id...
