Downloaded the latest firmware and placed it in the files menu.
Reboot.
Nothing... doesn't install.

Anyone else seeing this?

A lot of information that is missing here.

What RB model or CHR/x86? What firmware package? Are there other files present? What's the current ros version and firmware version? Any info in the log?

CRS125. 6.38
Router was hard reset from the button.
Router was defaulted with no config.
Firmware was placed in the files folder.
Wouldn't install it.

Replaced with another CRS125 RouterOS updated just fine.

Getting a 750GL with a similar problem dropped off at the office so i can check it out.

As Nescafe mentioned, the log will *probably* tell you why it didn't upgrade. I suspect that's why he asked what other files are on the file system. If you have other packages of a different version, the upgrade may fail.

Is it ar9344_3.41.fwf , routeros-mipsbe-6.43.2.npk (combined), separate ros package, another version or another architecture?

Failure to upgrade is probably due to one of three reasons:
- (Most likely) one or more extra packages are installed and there is no upgraded version supplied for these extra packages, so it cannot upgrade without breaking the package, and doesn't upgrade as a result
- Incorrect architecture of package was uploaded for the device
- Not enough free space to successfully upgrade (ex. if the upgrade file itself could barely fit on the device)

mipsbe 6.38.5 is installed on RB2011

'Click for updates' shows 'new version is available' - downloads and restarts BUT fails

plenty of memory but I see the 3011 comes with arm packages

I don't want reasons for why this happens - I want the solution

very frustrating - if this is not resolved I am shipping it back to suppliers
