Having trouble bridging VLANs (VLAN pass through)

Tue Dec 11, 2018 9:09 pm

I'm trying to pass a VLAN from another router, through my CCR1016, and then out to another part of the site.

Relevant ports to this are SFP2 and SFP11. Both already have management IP addresses and several VLANs attached to them.

The VLAN I want to passthrough is id 1001 and it is coming in on SFP2 from an Edgeswitch. 1001 is tagged on the trunk port connecting them.

I want this VLAN to go out of SFP11 over to the Unifi switch to handle the rest via port settings.

I've been reading up and it seems like the solution is to set up 2 vlans of the same tag on each SFP interface and add them to a bridge, and that should work. The problem I'm having is that as soon as I add the 2 VLANs to the bridge SFP11 goes down. The Unifi switch and all APs connected to it go offline until the bridge is disabled.

Does anyone know what's going on there? Or do you know of another way to do this? It seems like it should be so simple but it's eluding me.

***FIXED***

I updated the router so that the bridge section had the more in depth Vlan options. I made the bridge, set SFP2 and SFP11 as ports, made Vlan 1001 attached to the bridge interface, entered Vlan 1001 into the Vlan tab of the bridge window and entered SFP2 and SFP11 as tagged ports in there. All going now.
