D-Link 580TX (4 port LAN card) not detecting

Mon Apr 16, 2007 4:05 pm

hello all ! !

I am a new user of mikrotik. I have started using mikrotik recently and have a demo licence on my mikrotik.

I recently wanted to installed a new D-link 580TX 4 port LAN card to increase and test its capability, but the card is not been detected on my system.

Please suggest me the reason, is it due to the level 1 (demo version) only or there is some other issue. i have version 2.9.31 on my system.

Thanks in Advance.

this card does work with MikroTik ROS, I've been using it for years. It is probably not working with your motherboard - check the BIOS

D-Link DFE-580TX 4-port Server Adapter (not recommended: may lock up the system)

Thanks for views !

I wanted to clear my doubt about license... IS there any such restriction that demo version can not support upgarding the hardware as well. As software upgrade is not allowed in demo.

Thanks.

Finally it worked !!!

Actually I was replacing card with a old single port card.

Solution was silly, i fistly unpluged the single port card and booted the router once, without any card, then after that i plugged my 4 port card in. It was accepted.

I think rebooting in between was the thing i was missing. !!!

Now it working really fine.

Thanks

Binayak
