How to limit interface with monthly quota (GB)

Mon Jan 07, 2019 7:58 am

Hi all

I have a remote site with a capped interhet connection of 100 GB per month, tried with ISP to stop the internet if crossed my quota, but they are not offering this option for package more than 10 GBz (kida of gaining more bux), so i tried to use my little RB750G to limit the Wan interface for the monthly quota in order to stop users from exceeding the monhtly limit and start using on PAYGO rates.

Which Queues type i should go for and how?

Why don't you use scripts? You can check the MBytes consumed in your WAN interface every 30 minutes or so, and disable the interface after the quota is exceeded, or use queues to limit the BW.
