Error 619

Fri Apr 20, 2007 11:11 am

Hi all. I have a problem with PPTP connection to Mikrotik router. Person, who setup this rourer, unavailable now. I am not a specialist, but i can change any settings in router.

Problem is:

I connect thru PPTP to router from 2 remote computers with IDENTICAL VPN settings. Computers locate in same subnet,in one desk. PC number one -connect OK. Computer number 2 -Error 619. I try connect with several new created logins, Try disable Windows Firewall and all antivirus in client PC - no changes.

The same situation-in my chief. He have 2 notebooks, connect from home. One notebook connect ok,second -Error 619. VPN configuration is totally identical .. One more thing -in notebook with working VPN connection (in home) chief have Error 619 in some other countries,hotels,etc..

I check router configuration -GRE and PPTP is enabled in firewall.

Any hints? It's router configuration problem or client PC?

Please help

error 619 is USERNAME or PASSWORD problem, check username and password are you creating tham as you are typing them to connect. Try copy paiste from notepad.

i too had the same problem some time back. I observed that two connection from same network creates problem. i mostly get port error. Some times bandwith also was blamed.

i had three dirrerent gateways so i simply switched routes of both on different gateway. this mostly solved my problem.

in my case, no two connection from same network -i try connect only from one PC in one time. And, one PC is always OK connect, other PC-Error 619
