I´m trying to do a mesh network with 12 OmniTIK 5 PoE ac, but i´m having a problem. If i try to ping or access to some of them they ping and has timeout to (50% of response)
All off the antennas has line of sight, same SSID, same profile password..
They are already installed on posts of 10 meters height. I have a topology that is more or less a rectangle.
Distance between then 100/200 meters.

My question is, this Antennas are omnidirectional, right?
I´m thinking that is the problem, because the Antennas which are face to face work fine, but that are on the side they have problem connectivity and a loss of 50/60% of icmp.

I need your help to understand and better the solution, because i was thinking they are omnidirectional..

victor, I'm putting together a scenario similar to this one. Can you tell me if you solved it? and how?

This setup and wds might have various problems. One is the network self interference because aps must be in same channel for wds to operate. The other is wds itself having problems. Also sending and receiving from the same wireless interface will drop performace. The other is that bridging the network causes multicast traffic over wireless links get transmitted to the lowest rate. I don't know about the exact antenna pattern but it may not be perfect omnidirectional in both polarizations. Maybe some one else has achieved some success with this setup but i dobut so. I have tried my self time ago and give up. In order for access pints to operate well in same frequency a perfect synchronization is needed wich cant be achieved effectively by wireless links. We use link backhauls for connectivity from a point to another and access point setup in non overlapping channels.

have you tried using a client and a virtual ap, and using mpls for handling packages?
