What ISP software are people using?

Wed Jan 18, 2017 7:00 am

We deploy wireless and wired links but use MikroTik routers everywhere. Looking for an idea on what other people use to do bandwidth accounting for users, set speed profiles, provide reports/billing etc. We're currently using Splynx but hitting snags along the way, and their helpdesk is fairly lackluctre. So looking for some alternatives

We need software to setup PPPoE as well as MAC based authentication to be logged against user accounts

We use Duxtel's Internet Commander (http://www.duxtel.com.au/duxtel_internet_commander.html) to manage a hotspot in a motel, but it can do all those things too. It's not perfect, but Mike at Duxtel is always very helpful when we have any issues.

I have been deploying Sonar for quite a few consulting customers lately including our own WISP.

We are using splynx,

We have a mikrotik based network throughout and the integration, billing and metering is working excellently.

Their service is also always prompt and good.
