Multiple IP addresses on one interface

What is the maximum number of IP addresses you can assign to an ethernet interface on a MT router? Is it hardware dependent?

I have given 25 IP Addresses on Single Ether.

maybe if you use some kind of DST NAT to give them to some clients in your network?

There is a Base Station with one access point setup to this one interface. Some clients want to be on different subnets using the same AP.

Cisco has the ability to create subinterfaces for a single interface. Is this what is happening when you add multiple IP addresses (Different Subnets) to a single interface on the MT?

or 2 valid address to 2 invalid address?
