"Wireless Wire" Kit Reset

Tue Sep 03, 2019 8:37 pm

Hi All...

First of all, I'm new to the world of MikroTik. Please bear with me as I learn. I bought a "Wireless Wire" Kit that contains 2 preconfigured 60GHz Wireless Bridges.

While I changed the IP address of one of the Wireless Wire Bridges I must have made a mistake and now one of the Bridges is no longer reachable. The other one is fine.

It still works for the moment (Traffic passes) but i can no longer reach the management Web Interface of one of the bridges.

Befor I make things worse and kill the device completely I wanted to make sure of how to reset it.

I found a procedure to reset the config (press button for longer than 10 seconds) however I'm afraid it will also wipe the pairing of one bridge to the other and maybe also other configurations that I don't know about. The amount of options in the webgui is rather overwhelming for me as a beginner.

Can somebody please confirm that when I reset the bridge it sets it back to the same state it was when it came in the box?

If that's not the case and I need to configure it manually so it's again able to talk to the other bridge... are there any instructions as to how it needs to be configured so it works again the same as when it came in the box?

Download winbox in Software Download section, Open it, Klick to the neighbors tab, Klick refresh....

All your devices should be listen
Klick on the Mac of the devices , Where your ip config is False and Open it with Mac

This may be old, but can someone reply to this OP's question: Will wireless wire reset to settings it came with in the box when factory reset? In other words, will it still be paired with the other unit?
