I ordered a set of LHG-XL units awhile back and I went to put them up today, I just noticed that I can't select Canada as my wireless region. I went and pulled up my purchase history, and sure enough, they came from the US. (They're currently locked to US 3) They were bought far enough back that I doubt I can simply return them for a region unlocked set (and shipping would suck even if I could)

I should be able to manually tune the TX and EIRP to make this compliant, but that's not something I want to maintain long term, especially if someone else takes ownership of my gear down the line. I see there are frequency lock codes that can be generated on my Mikrotik account, is there a somewhat easy way for me to reconfigure these to be locked to Canada for their wireless region?

I think you should contact MikroTik support...

During the Markham MUM last month, I asked MikroTik to ship INT routers to Canada since we can use dfs channels PROVIDED we respect the Industry Canada rules as shown in the regulations document.

My employer buys Aruba "rest of World" APs and its ok, because of our compliance to IC (and the threat of big fines of we don't).

Granted FCC and IC rules are close, but they're not cut&paste.

Exactly, I'm relatively certain I can do a compliant install as is, but if some other person takes over after me, I want that as locked in as I can make it.

I think the USA models are officially supposed to be "not possible to unlock".
I have no idea if that is really true for MikroTik equipment or if there still is some "secret command" with "special code" that would still be able to do it.
However you are quite likely to get the answer "NO, not possible" when asking via public and/or official channels...
