133 stability issues

Thu May 31, 2007 8:08 am

hi,

would like to know if any one has tried the following scenarios with stability:
WLM54AG (BH) & XR2 (distribution) on 133
WLM54AG (BH) & SR2 (distribution) on 133

Also, I am facing a very strange problem on 133 board with the second scenario on table test when i scan SR2 card for wireless link the system automatically reboots and on this boot it doesn't shows SR2, I shutdown the router remove the card and re-insert it , it is back on but when I scan same problem. I tried replacing SR2 cards but no success, i tried replacing WLM54AG no success, i tried replacing 133 little success I got the scan then I rebooted and the ghost of Christmas past returns and enters the fresh board also.

Has any one else faced this kind of problem, can you share your view and solution for this.

How much power are you running to the board and how far are you running the power line? If the power feed is a long run you may have to much loss and be ubnder powering the board which would cause the cards to disappear/reappear at random.

an XR2 and an SR2 are going to peak a significant current if they both TX together. (check the data sheet)

I would suggest the bulk decoupling on the PSU on the board may not be enough with two high power cards to absorb such a high current transient without causing voltage drop and potential system crash.

Either use one high power card and one standard card or turn the power down on the cards until it is stable.

I suggest the former :)

Cheers

100% right

try direct power jack

i ues 2 xr2 with version 2.9.43 every thing is stable

Yes, it looks like a power issue. this is common with Ubiquiti cards
