We need new Nstreme-dual protocol for DUAL radios like new netmetal V2 or RBLHGG-5HPacD2HPnD-XL.
FULL DUPLEX & separate UL@2.4/DL@5Ghz

I don't even try ask for p2mp protocol all know why :lol: but p2p nstreme dual should be possible i think.

The NetMetal AC2 I can see myself using quite a bit in some of the last sites we still have MTK Wireless remaining.
Can you run 2.4 and 5 Ghz radios at the same time or is it like the Groove where it's one or the other ?

The CRS is pretty cool , though the CRS326-24S+2Q+RM meets our needs a bit better in general. Wish there was a way where we could marry a CRS Switch and 4011's packet routing capability in a single box , but it's saved us mega bucks for some projects thus far.

I especially enjoyed reading about the network in Serbia to detect hail. Good stuff!

Yes! Full duplex p2p will be great. Just look at the competition with their LTU, it can use different TX and RX frequencies on both ends. This is killer feature, because 5GHz band is now completely saturated and full of signals, so finding empty channel on both sides of the link is often impossible.
So not just 2+5GHz radios, but have two 5GHz radios that can be used to split frequencies for tx and rx and also run in full duplex mode.
Mikrotik is having problems with nv2 for p2mp on AC hardware, but fixing it at least for p2p should be easier then full p2mp. No need to handle stations joining/leaving, just do the one thing only and one thing only: p2p link with minimum latency like NSTREME did. It's badly needed!

Also lack of any news on WIFI6 features or 802.11ax hardware is rather sad, perhaps we will see something announced on the MUM...

We need LHGR + R11e-LTE6 with
  • 1GbE port - currently even SXTR with bonding at 2xFE have a bottleneck to FE at CPU :(
  • 2CA for 1+3 and 1+7 and 3+7 - currently only 3+7 :(
  • LGHR with corrected 700 and 900Mhz Gain - currently works better with inverted antenna at 180°. Only 800Mhz works straight forward (and >1800Mhz).
  • Bigger DISH

the NetMetal AC2 works over 100 km? or has it the same problem like the older AC that we get only about 80 MB throughput ?

Netmetal ac2... we can use 2.4 and 5Ghz both, at the same time or not?

M = Mega
m = milli
B = Byte
b = bit
s = seconds

Usually throughput is measured in Mbps (i.e. 100 Mbps)

For 80Mhz channel :D:D:D ?
Mikrotik in most case don't scale ACK properly for long distance p2p link. Can have good signal with big antenas but tcp speeds sucks. For 20Mhz channel u can use Nstreme but nstreme no scale properly for 40, 80 Mhz channel.

it has a line of sight...no interference at all....@ 12.2 kilometers only
no not 100kms.

Since MWC2020 has been cancelled, does MikroTik still have plans to show a peak at their 5G gear?

What improvement will the new NetMetal ac² provide in comparison with former NetMetal ac (wave1)? Besides 160MHz channels and MU-MIMO, which are basically interesting only for some small indoor/closed deployments for mass end-user access, but have little use for WISP PtP or PtMP.. Unless MT plans to release some cheap AC wave2 SXTsq's?

Someone has speed tested the throughput of NetMetal ac2 using WiFi with some meters of distance?

Any feedback is appreciated.

Thanks and regards.
