I would like to start first saying I am a novice on MikroTik RouterOS but truly amazed about the flexibility this device and OS can do, but I am really quite confused on the GUI/WinBOX/Terminal etc...done a lot of reading on this forum and YouTube but still can't get the idea of setting the VLANs, hence coming here needed some help!

To put the long story short, I have a TP-Link Managed POE 8-ports switch already configured and tested with the VLANs is working, and I intend to use the hAP ac2 as a VLAN switch and Access Points in another room that will need to carry 4 VLAN IDs across through the trunk. What I need to set on the hAP ac2 is:

Total VLAN IDs: 1,5,11,1091
Port 1: Trunk - Tagged 5,11,1091
Port 2: Access - Untagged 1
Port 3: Access - Untagged 1
Port 4: Access - Untagged 11
Port 5: Access - Tagged 1091
WLAN1 (2.4GHz): Untagged 5
WLAN2 (5GHz): Untagged 1

802.1Q VLAN PVID Setting:
Port1: 1
Port2: 1
Port3: 1
Port4: 11
Port5: 1091
WLAN1: 5
WLAN2: 1

Attached is a diagram I am thinking of and apologize if I am using the TP-Link terms as I am more familiar with their terms.

Let me know if this is making sense and doable, I am not an expert on VLANs but like to learn and explore.

Sigh.... I know you are "trying not to give me fish and trying to teach me how to fish", but trust me when I said I have already read through the forum and not knowing what to do. The posting you provided I have already read it few times before I am asking this help, and there is no examples in that posting that fit what I wanted, which what I need is a mix of "Router-Switch-AP (all in one)" + "Access Point", your example of "Access Point" does not have the ethernet ports and the earlier ones does not use a Trunk port, also it contain errors when I am trying to configure "WLAN2".

I really wish someone here can genuinely help and not just pointed us to "here and there" and expect everyone here are at the same level as you guys, else we will not need any help, correct? This is not helping to promote the MikroTik brand also, which is really what we want.

Please, can anyone here really help?

I suggest you to go with the "Router-Switch-AP (all in one)" example from the tutorial, just leave out wireless config other than config for wlan1.
Problems you're having with the tutorial example are because your unit has two physical wireless interfaces (2.4GHz wlan1 and 5GHz wlan2). Which means that low-level wireless config from tutorial (e.g. /interface wireless add name=wlan2 ssid=GREEN master-interface=wlan1 security-profile=guest disabled=no) does not apply entirely.

When you get the setup working with 2.4GHz radio only, you can proceed to configure the 5GHz radio ... if you decide to make 5GHz radio configured similarly to the 2.4GHz one (same SSIDs, same subnet membership), then you can set same configuration to wlan2 as it's used for wlan1 ... apart from RF configuration, such as frequency, channel width and similar.

If I was to write you configuration script, I'd have to charge you with consultancy fee ... I can help you learn by giving you advices (and by pointing out mistakes you might make, but for that you'd have to post configuration you came up so far) for free. It's up to you which of those two you call "real help"...

Thanks! Your message makes much more sense to me and of coz I am willing to share and hence I said earlier about I am willing to learn, but pointing me to a 10,000 words article is not helping me.... Also I understand mkx wanted to be paid so I stop replying to him but was hoping some kind soul can help me by giving me advises based on the TP-Link config I posted. If I think I need to pay someone here to get the job done if this is getting too complex, I am willing to discuss on the pricing, but not out front just asking for money!!! I thought the other forums of other brands are too "commercial" and thought this MikroTik forum are filled with more people who genuinely just happy to help others, so far seems you are the only one "almost" there...LOL.

Its setup so very little is automated for the user, in other words you have to tell the router what to in terms of moving packets around.
In most consumer routers they have automated most of the activity and the choices are limited in terms of additional rules.
However this is also extremely limiting for anything other than a household where people dont have a sweet clue how internet works.

Hint: When accessing winbox (the main config tool of choice) the first step is ALWAYS hitting the SAFE MODE BUTTON at the top left.
If you make a change that will cause the router to burp, the router burps and brings you back to before you made that change.
If not the router burps and reboots and you may have to start from scratch.
If you have made a change and the router doesnt give you grief, it is safe to momentarily uncheck that button to save your latest change and then reapply the button!!

Ah! Did not pay attention to the SAFE MODE button before you mentioned this, this is great advise! I am not too good at configuring routers from using the CLI and from almost scratch, this is indeed an very daunting tasks but I really like the learning process, brings back a lot of good and funny memories (like I was typing "shutdown" in the Novell server which I thought initially was to just disable a particular service...LOL).

In post preceeding I actually gave you some advice about how to proceed, seems you didn't register that (or you didn't like what I wrote).
