A couple of bugs in web interface?

Wed Jun 27, 2007 3:58 pm

I've been trying out User Manager today and noticed a couple of little problems in v2.9.42:
  • We're in Nigeria, where the currency is the Naira (symbol Unicode 20A6), if I try to set the currency for a customer to the HTML entity ₦ it is ignored. If I paste in the character (from Windows Character Map) the web interface stops working.
  • If I have set up a customer with a given user prefix then the batch user add works fine. However in the single user add it allows adding users without the user prefix, which are then invisible to that customer. Surely any user added by a given customer should be automatically prefixed?
Apart from that it's all very good. Thanks to the guys at MikroTik for all their work.

1) About the issue related to Unicode characters, it will be fixed in the upcoming RouterOS version.
However it is possible to specify code instead of character, e.g. USD instead of $, EUR instead of €.

2) Yes, you are correct, customer can add user, that is not seen for him. Most likely in the future prefix feature will be redesigned.

The only problem with using the code is that no-one in Nigeria is familiar with it, they wouldn't understand what NGN means. I'll just use the usual workaround "=N=".

Thanks.
