Hardware suggestion

Sun Jun 07, 2020 9:26 pm

Hi all,
I'm just reaching out to the forum just in case i have missed something.

I need a LTE enabled router ( RB with a mini PCIe slot preferably ) that is capable of POE input ( for power ) and also POE output @ 48 volts to power a CCTV Camera.

We use a lot of the RBM33 boards for a different application and woudl very much like to stay with the RB platform. I have looked at all RB platforms and can not find anything that has POE In, POE Out and a mini PCIe slot for an LTE card.

We have even tried using a HEX S Router with a USB LTE Dongle but for some reason we are unable to remote access the router, we believe it has something to do with the USB not allowing in coming traffic to pass to the RB.

If i have missed something and there is in fact a RB platform that meets our criteria please do let me know.

OR.. if there is a way round getting the HEX S with a USB dongle to allow incoming traffic to both the router and a port forward rule to the camera that would be plan B.

Thanks

The SXT LTE has PoE in and PoE out + a mPCIe slot for a modem.
