Please will some one advise me on how to get my router to work correctly? I have just bought my first non ISP router to set up a network in my house. I have an RB4011-IGS+RM on which I have followed the basic set up instructions, both through the Winbox GUI and the CLI, neither got my LAN talking to my WAN. The router is connected to the internet, the ping worked, but ether2 which is active does not have internet access but does see my PC. Where can I look for further help?
Having followed the set-up guide online and failed I've just watched a MikroTik video on configuring RouterOS using quick set option and it worked, did I miss this in the instruction manual?

Quick Set, as the name suggests, is a quick and easy way how to get started, or it can be used as simplified interface for beginners, who don't need any extras. You didn't write anything about what you actually did when you tried manual configuration, so nobody can tell you what was wrong. But if you have working config now, you can export the whole thing and check what's there. Open Terminal, run "/export file=somename" and then download somename.rsc. It's a text file with config and structure of commands is the same as in GUI. So you can see what's there and hopefully you'll find what was missing in your manual config.
