Hello,
I was recently upgraded to a 300 mbps ethernet link from my ISP but the device I use hAP ac lite TC only has 100 mbps ports. So currently I only get about 90-95 megabits speeds due to port limitation.
I also have a RB2011UiAS-2HnD-IN lying around, which has five gigabit ports, but it doesn't have WiFi radio ever since a lightning strike hit it a few years back. It is currently just a gigabit router / switch.
I wonder whether there is a way to plug the ISP cable to one of the gigabit ports on the RB2011UiAS-2HnD-IN, and then connect that with 2 or 3 cables to the hAP ac lite in order to get the full 300 mbps throughput (or anything above 100 mbps would be nice). I'm thinking of bonding or similar approach.
I know it'd be a lot easier to just buy another AP with gigabit ports and 5GHz WiFi radio but I'm hoping that there's a way to utilize my existing equipment.
Thanks!
