MUM EUROPE AND OTHER UPCOMING EVENTS - POSTPONED!

In compliance with our commitment to ensure the safety of our clients, partners, staff, and visitors at all MikroTik events, we have no other choice but to postpone our upcoming events – MUM EUROPE in Prague, Czech Republic (March 26-27), MTCSA in Riga, Latvia (March 23-24), Train the Trainer in Riga, Latvia (March 30 - April 2), and distributor and trainer dinner (March 26).

While this decision comes with a burden of unforeseen inconveniences for all involved parties, it has been made after reviewing health advisories from public health and disease prevention professionals.
These events will be rescheduled as soon as possible with due regard for public safety. The payments you have made for registration can be either used for the next events or be fully refunded, whichever works best for you. Thank you for your understanding.

Our thoughts go out to those affected by the virus outbreak.

Closing all gatherings below a certain size might be overkill, but when someone is found to be infected they have to quarantine dozens of people.

It would be a bigger problem in the case of international events.

We all know the situation is bad. And some (like me) are already stuck at home. Soon all of Europe will be.
Non COVID news would be greatly appreciated... and if they bring 11ax products, then even better.

So hopefully product launches will be announced around 26th of March !

I just checked and do not see v7 under testing, but I do see v7 under development.

So @normis we are far beyond April 1 [April Fools day] so I guess you have a lot more info?

Once MikroTik adds Wireguard Support and LUA System v4 or whatever version that enables Using Fetch and Scripting to add IP Address Lists to work with any size file I consider running it.

In general, attending a MUM or any other conference is about knowledge transfer and networking, also for you ?
The rest of technology world (small to huge businesses) easily managed to transfer to online with huge success and well accepted by audiences/customers.

Just safe your fifty US Dollars, you would have spent on lunch

Also supporting at least one online user meeting this year (may be split into Americas plus EMEA and APAC separately)

Unfortunately due to the restrictions for the time being Train the Trainer events have been postponed. As important part of the training course for new instructors is to evaluate their work with classroom - in presenting the material, assigning practical exercises, troubleshooting, it is not straight forward transferable to an online environment so at least for now we have decided not to do so. We will reschedule Train the Trainer courses as soon as possible.

I’m really frustrated with this situation. Since 2020 I’ve been hoping to begin a certification process to become an instructor. The scheduling and processing is difficult to overcome given the face to face requirements from Mikrotik. In the same time period I have completed Cisco accreditation and instructor status via distance learning and have presented to classrooms over a simple video conference.

Given the issue we are facing, how does mikrotik intend to re-engage with the global community on the question of training and education?

They have women in Latvia?, I thought they did it all through test tubes............................... ( brings up a curious question of how many women actually work in MT, is it a paternalistic organization or one that breathes inclusivity towards all etc, and I mean besides the clerical staff.)
