Tue Aug 25, 2020 4:44 pm

Can the internal modem in the SXT LTE 6 be replaced. I would like to run a EP06-E.

Yes. If you don't have the SXT-LTE6 kit yet, just get the SXTR model that hasn't any modem. You'll need to tape the USB3.0 pins if using the EP06-E.

Thanks - I'll look in to it some more. Need to find an Australian reseller for the SXTR.

You won't, I'm afraid. Duxtel have no plans and WISP will order them if you buy multiple units. Try GoWireless in NZ - with postage to Australia they come in at around AU$145.

Can anyone please confirm the MikroTik SXT LTE Cat 6 only has 10/100 Mbit Ethernet interfaces? If so I am confused.... why bundle an LTE 6 modem capable of 300Mbit download speed if the Ethernet interface can only handle 100Mbit?

Yes, all SXT have 10/100 Mbps Ethernet. Also I can not understand this kind of products if the LTE interface supports up to 300 Mbps. Weird limiting method.

Regards.

Unless you are in Brisbane CBD or another capital like Sydney you most likely won't get over 100Mbps anyway. Right next to a Telstra tower in Port Macquarie I've only been able to get 90Mbps and in Newcastle, 75Mbps.
