How is it possible? XR2 S, N, S/N bugged status reporting

Mon Jul 23, 2007 6:17 pm

Hy,
i have a RB532A with a SR2 (backhaul, RB112 + SR2 on the other side) and a XR2 (hotspot). Never seen a problem with this platform, but....the signal, noise, SNR value reported by the XR2 is...comical!
Before the XR2, we have a SR2 for the hotspot, and it reported -101 to -105dBm for noise, and the client signal was correct.
Now, with the XR2, on same location, same cable, same antenna, it report -82dBm to -92dBm for noise value, and absurd values for the signal and SNR for the client.

An example: I have a client NLOS at about 1km, it report -92 to -101dBm for signal  , -8 to -20dBm for SNR  , but 90 to 100 for CCQ and a throughput (when it is the only client generating traffic on the network) of 4,5/5Mbps TCP half duplex (the network is a 802.11B).

I think there's a bug on MT driver for this mPCI. Have you seen the same behaviour?

Regards

As the XR cards have only one ant connector, setting should be same as SR cards using MMCX.
There is another post about XR2 and MT 2.9.xx, is it related to your trial?

I have no problem with the signal received by the client (transmitted by the XR2), it seems to be a real 600mw card (we are seeing improvement over the previous SR2).
I tryed to change ant connector from "ant-a" to "ant-b", but no change@all.
I see ever the same strange high noise value and the very strange SNR (negative value).
