LCD Output

Wed Aug 08, 2007 11:01 am

Hi all.
I have seen the LCD module in the Router OS in Winbox, and hooked up a serial cable between my MT box and my PC and using hypertermial got some data.
Now I have an LCD that will accept serial data, BUT I cant for the life of me find any info on the forums or on Wiki about the interface that is used by the MT. I.e. what pin to use on the DB9 plug, what baud rate etc. etc. is needed.

Can someone help?

Thanks, Jeremy

yes, I have not got back to update my post, I could not find anything doing a search on the MT site/s but google pointed me in the right direction ! and your post also pointed be to the right location :-)
S now its working, but its like teh baudrate is wrong or soemthing, as the data is unintelligable :-(

have yours setting the right Baudrate in

Winbox -> Ports
the most LC-Displays have a Baudrate 9600 or 19200

yes its 9600.
I am not sure however, what the connecton settings are, i.e 8 N 1 ot 7E1 etc. that the PIC Microdevice that my interface uses is expecting.
Fortunitly, I can write my own PIC Micro program on another PIC Micro and make it work for me hwo I want it to.....but maybe its a weekend job :-)
